Holy Moley! The world building in this book is incredible! We start off with Teryna who is a halfling imprisoned by her father and step mother for years, she finally managed to escape. Once she has been gone for a little while she stumbles across the king’s soldiers gathering magical creatures and fae in the forest one day. She rescues them and thus begins her journey to visit the fae queen to tell her what the king plans. Along the way she meets Nico who is accompanied by one of the magical beasts she rescued. The cliffhanger was brutal but I can’t wait to read the second book!
