Fern was orphaned as a child and the lord of the village took her in after her parents death. Years past and Petra, the lady of the manor begins beating and abusing Fern for little things. One beating goes too far and Tavion and Casper bring her back to pack lands. Adam and Emric find her gone from the manor and go after her. Soon there is betrayal, orcs and the coming together of a pack. Dawson, River, Jay and Judson venture to find the rest of the pack after the betrayal. The knotting, M/M and any sex scenes were raw, carnal and perfect. I loved learning about the characters backstories and there was a perfect ending. I’ll be reading more of this author!
