At age fifteen Brooklyn had something happen to her by Max, her then boyfriend. But it came to light what he had done and he was put into jail for life. After his denied parole Brooklyn decides that this town isn’t her home anymore and she applies to become a live in nanny for a group of retired military veterans who opened a security business. Creed, Hunter, Phoenix and Dakota are moving and need an nanny asap, when they are on a call with Brooklyn for her interview she is attacked and it shows them enough that she can handle herself. I really enjoyed learning about these characters and the cliffhanger was rough. I can’t wait to read the next book!
